Several Maryland Lottery Players Headed To Las Vegas With Billion-Dollar Dreams

Seven lucky Maryland Lottery players are heading on what the lottery calls a dream-come-true trip to Las Vegas to participate in the Billion Dollar Challenge, with a chance to win up to $1 billion. They will join an additional 92 players from 13 other lotteries across the country.

The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will take place from next Sunday to next Wednesday. The trip-for-two includes round-trip airfare to Las Vegas, three nights at a deluxe hotel, $1,000 spending money and the opportunity to play for up to $1 billion.

The Maryland winners are: Clarissa Clayton from Columbia, Inez Dixon from Silver Spring, Karen Leonardi from Essex, Pragati Sidh from Reisterstown, Shantele Smoak from Riverside, Christopher Taroli from Silver Spring and Lisa Taylor from Landover.

The second-chance promotion ran from April 23, 2018 to Jan. 7. To enter, Lottery players submitted non-winning Willy Wonka Golden Ticket scratch-offs into the My Lottery Rewards program. Winners were randomly selected from more than 2.7 million entries.
