In 2024, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Planning (MIL) supported a total of 43 projects with approximately €410,000 in lottery funds. Funding was provided to a wide range of projects by municipalities, associations, and initiatives that promote the common good.
One focus was on measures for urban and village development, as well as architectural culture. These include, for example, the renovation of a historic half-timbered house for a local history museum in Karstädt, the restoration of the village church in Altkünkendorf, and the enhancement of Drebkau's old town with new planters and information panels.
Several projects were also realized in the area of transport: These include a training pavilion in the Prenzlau traffic garden, the children's station in Tantow and collision warning devices for gliders in Brandenburg an der Havel.
Lottery funds are awarded upon application. The responsible ministry decides on funding after careful review. Support is primarily given to projects that do not fit into existing funding programs but make an important contribution to social cohesion.
