Sept. 5, 2024

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Mega Millions® jackpot rises to $740 million for the Sept. 6 drawing.

At $740 million, this Mega Millions jackpot has climbed to the game’s seventh-highest of all time and the second-highest of the year.

The Mega Millions jackpot has been claimed twice in 2024, first at $1.128 billion in March and again at $552 million in June.

Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10 p.m. CST. Five balls numbered 1 to 70 and one ball numbered 1 to 25 are drawn. A Mega Millions player must match all six numbers drawn to win the jackpot.

Ticket cost $2 per play, and ticket sales cut off at 9:45 p.m. the night of the drawing. Players can purchase the Megaplier® option for an additional $1 to multiply non-jackpot winnings by 2, 3, 4 or 5 times.

Mega Millions tickets can be purchased in person at licensed Arkansas lottery retailers or online. For more information about purchasing lottery tickets online, visit the Where to Play page on the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery website.
